IEPL dedicated lines, transit routes, and direct connections describe different ways of organizing the network path. The name alone is not an absolute speed ranking; consider local network conditions, destination region, time of day, and the specific application when choosing.

IEPL dedicated lines typically organize traffic through a more clearly defined international transmission path, reducing uncontrolled detours across the public internet. They are better suited to scenarios that depend on sustained connectivity, such as remote work, online meetings, extended video playback, and online tools that continuously return results.
These routes generally cost more to build and maintain than ordinary direct connections, and resource scheduling is more involved. In practice, “dedicated line” does not mean consistently faster in every environment. If the target service is nearby, a well-matched transit route may be a better fit.

A direct connection reaches the target region straight from the current network without an additional transit entry point. Its simpler path works well when the local network already has good interconnection with the destination, and it also serves as a comparison route for determining whether an issue comes from the local network, forwarding path, or target service.
Direct connections are more sensitive to differences between network operators and changes in cross-network paths. For long-distance access, a shorter map distance does not necessarily mean a shorter real path. If pages open but media playback is inconsistent, or work connections occasionally drop, compare a same-region transit route or IEPL dedicated line.

A single route does not need to handle every task. Evaluating browsing, streaming, AI tools, gaming, and work separately usually makes issues easier to isolate than repeatedly searching for an “all-purpose route.”
Everyday browsing
For everyday browsing, focus on whether pages open consistently and images and scripts load completely. Start with a nearby Asia-Pacific route, then adjust based on the website’s region. If a site repeatedly loads incompletely, do not change the client, route, and browser at the same time; switch only to another route in the same region first to see whether the issue follows the exit.
Most websites do not require an exit in a specific country. In that case, choose a route with a simple path and stable connectivity. Switch to the relevant country only for regional websites. Keeping one regular route and one backup route reduces the time spent filtering the directory each time.
Streaming
For streaming, match the content’s region first, then check the route’s streaming label. After opening the platform, confirm that the home-page catalog matches expectations before starting playback. If the account, licensing, and exit regions differ, the catalog may change; that is separate from whether the route can establish a connection.
